Job Description Summary
Reporting to the AKA Segment Leader for Cardiovascular Ultrasound (CVUS), this role leads the Cardiovascular Ultrasound & Ultrasound IT segments with a focus on products and associated markets in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). The incumbent will develop product strategy, drive business development, identify growth opportunities, and optimise resources to achieve a coherent product differentiation approach for CVUS and USIT in line with the operating plan.
Job Description
The Segment Leader will provide overarching strategic direction and support to the account management team. Responsibilities include strategy development and implementation, product and price positioning, marketing input, customer education support, team training, and collaboration with global marketing on new product introductions and lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions Financial Performance
* Accountable to achieve quarterly and yearly P&L operating plan targets for CVUS and USIT in ANZ (Orders, Sales, Contribution Margin, Costs, Operating Margin, and Cash).
* Provide pricing strategy, manage margin performance, and ensure pricing compliance.
* Provide input to the formulation of yearly business planning cycles for CVUS and USIT in ANZ.
Customer, Market and Product Expertise
* Continuously develop deep product and technical knowledge, staying aware of current and future trends in healthcare technology and funding mechanisms.
* Deepen understanding of customer clinical and operational issues and challenges.
* Leverage market research, clinical and industry trend analysis, market share and competitive analysis, win/loss tracking, and price realisation to develop commercial strategy.
* Analyse market dynamics and competition to identify business opportunities and provide feedback to management and marketing teams.
* Educate, coach, and direct differentiation of CVUS and USIT products, positioning the value proposition across relevant GEHC care areas.
* Maintain professional relationships with key opinion leaders, customers, academia, government, and professional societies to differentiate GEHC product value.
* Ensure up‐to‐date product positioning and differentiation messages are communicated to sales and account teams.
Team Coaching
* Drive performance development within the team through regular feedback and coaching.
* Conduct in‐field coaching sessions focusing on differentiation, value presentation, and market understanding.
* Create opportunities for sharing best practices on opportunity management.
* Model utilisation of GEHC resources and networks to create and manage opportunities.
* Provide regular updates on company, regional product strategies, and customer insights.
* Assist sales teams in differentiating product offerings throughout the sales process to secure successful outcomes.

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree level.
* 7+ years of product management or sales/marketing experience in the healthcare industry, or equivalent progressive roles with deep market knowledge.
* Availability to travel within ANZ up to approximately 20% of the time.
* Support for conferences and workshops (including after‐hours and weekends) as part of team activities.
* Exemplary people‐management, leadership, sales coaching, and team‐building skills.
* Ability to energise, develop, and build rapport; collaborate and influence at all organisational levels.
* Strong multitasking in a dynamic environment with a customer‐first attitude.
* High cultural EQ; ability to work across diverse cultural business environments.
* Proficient in spoken and written English.
* Skillful in business management and resource allocation, including business plan development.
