 
        
        Become an integral part of a Local Council team dedicated to the beautification and maintenance of Croydon's parks and open spaces. This role combines horticultural skill with the operation of medium rigid (MR) vehicles for tree watering and park maintenance tasks, ensuring the vitality and aesthetic appeal of the community's green spaces. 
Benefits: 
Hourly rate of $33.18 plus super 
38 per week, Monday to Friday 
Based in the scenic area of Croydon 
Initial 3-month assignment with the potential for extension

Weekly pays 
Key Responsibilities: 
Perform a variety of landscaping and park maintenance works across council facilities 
Plan and prioritise daily maintenance programs for optimal care of green spaces 
Engage with the community, contractors, and public to achieve team goals 
Conduct site audits and maintain equipment in line with safety standards 
Provide support for the development of horticultural practices and contribute to continuous improvement efforts 
About You: 
Hold a current Medium Rigid (MR) Licence for the primary role of tree watering 
Traffic Control Card and First Aid (Level 2) certifications are desirable 
Possess a Certificate III in Gardening or equivalent horticultural qualifications 
Demonstrated ability in all aspects of horticulture, particularly in parks and garden maintenance 
Experience in tree watering, horticultural maintenance, and operating related machinery preferred 
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team 
Solid commitment to safety and environmental sustainability practices 
Effective communication skills for liaising with the public and team members 
Prepared to undergo a Working With Children Check and Criminal Record Check
