**The Role**
The APS6 Administration and Governance Support Officer (A&GSO) is accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex administration and governance work. A&GSO will ensure compliance with legislative frameworks, Defence's decision-making and Air Force's mission and policy requirements are maintained.

A&GSO is required to engage and liaise with stakeholders in order to achieve complex tasks. Responsible for identifying, anticipating and responding to stakeholders, including other DAC-AF staff, A&GSO must exercise both initiative and judgement to achieve strategic outcomes.

Citizenship check will be required as some advanced capabilities have specific requirements on dual nationality status.

**About our Team**
Directorate of Advanced Capabilities - Air Force (DAC-AF) is a component of Air Capability Enablers branch in Air Force Headquarters (AFHQ). DAC-AF supports force-in being, objective force and future force advanced capabilities across Air Force and Space Command capabilities. DAC-AF is the service directorate for Air Force (Air and Space) advanced capabilities, providing direct support to AFHQ, Air Command and Defence Space Command.

DAC-AF supports force-in-being advanced capabilities apportioned to Headquarters Joint Operations Command (HQJOC) operations and HQJOC or Air Command exercises. DAC-AF facilitates access to Special Access Programs (SAPs), Integrated Joint Special Technical Operations (IJSTO) and Alternative Compensatory Control Measures (ACCMs) for Air Force Group members (uniformed, APS and contractors) and is the first line of direct support for Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) units (System Program Offices (SPOs) directly supporting advanced capabilities) and Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG) members assigned to support Air Force advanced capabilities.

DAC-AF conducts education for advanced capability specialists to upskill the workforce to support advanced capabilities security and governance functions.
