Graduate Registered Nurse opportunity to join Central Australian Aboriginal Congress, supporting primary health care in remote and town-based settings.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Participate in the Aboriginal Primary Health Care New Graduate Nursing Program, a two-year initiative supporting entry into Primary Health Care.
- Gain experience in remote and town-based primary health care centres and Alice Springs Hospital.
- Collaborate with partners including Flinders University, Northern Territory Primary Health Network, and Northern Territory Government Central Australian Health Service.
- Deliver culturally appropriate care aligned with the values and vision of Central Australian Aboriginal Congress.
- Respond to application questions demonstrating commitment to cultural integrity, equity, social justice, and community health outcomes.
About You
The company is looking for:
- Nursing students or recent graduates seeking a graduate opportunity in primary health care.
- Commitment to working within the cultural context of Central Australia and contributing to Aboriginal health improvement.
- Willingness to engage in interprofessional education and post-graduate studies, including the Graduate Certificate in Remote Health Practice at Flinders University.
- Ability to work full-time or part time with multiple intakes throughout the year.
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $80,515 - $103,876 per annum.
- Total Effective Package: $101,122 - $127,642 per annum (includes base salary, district allowance, superannuation, leave loading, and estimated tax savings from salary packaging).
