Workskil Australia is a leading employment services provider supporting people of all backgrounds to obtain suitable employment or education opportunities. This full‐time, ongoing position will be based at our Geraldton site and you'll be supported by a team of coaches, mentors and counsellors to make a positive change in the lives of others.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist diverse customers in overcoming personal and professional challenges.
* Deliver coaching to improve employability skills, confidence and career planning.
* Prepare quality resumes and cover letters and support the job application process.
* Find suitable employment opportunities for customers and advocate on their behalf.
* Refer customers to internal and external support for housing, mental health and financial counselling.
* Provide additional mentoring and support during the first six months of employment.
* Document customer information and progress accurately within Workskil Australia and Government systems.
About You
You'll be a great fit for the team if you have a passion and drive for helping others. You will be self‐motivated, inclusive, open‐minded and willing to listen and support without judgement.
Qualifications
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to achieve individual targets and work to clearly defined KPIs.
* Strong administration skills and IT literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
* Minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute.
Applicants with previous experience in employment services will be highly regarded.
