Who you are
You are a tech-savvy professional with a degree in computing or a related discipline, and have experience providing hardware and software support in a large organisation. You have a strong background in IT systems, operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux), and Internet technologies. You're analytical, a problem-solver, and thrive in a client-focused environment. You communicate clearly, maintain confidentiality, and work well both independently and as part of a team.
What you'll do
* Deliver efficient and effective hardware, software, and application support for staff and students.
* Install, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop and portable computers, and resolve operating system and application issues.
* Maintain equipment and service logs, and ensure operational procedures are current.
* Report emerging issues and training needs, and contribute to service level achievement reports.
* Participate in knowledge transfer rotations and recommend workflow improvements.
* Assist with supervision and support of ITDS Client Support staff.
* Support job tracking and escalation processes for support requests.
* Provide limited system administration and network support under guidance.
* Demonstrate high standards of professional conduct and commit to ongoing development.
