**About Capital Prudential**:
Capital Prudential is a fast-growing single focus Asset Manager (fund manager) whose funds provide a complete capital solution to a portfolio of partnered property developers across Residential, Commercial, and Industrial property development sectors across Australia.
**The Role**:
An exciting development opportunity exists for a suitably experienced Accounting Officer to join the Capital Prudential team. This is a new role required to support the ongoing growth in the Capital Prudential business. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the efficient and smooth day to day accounting and processing of the Capital Prudential Group's transactions and will also work closely with both the Financial Controller to prepare monthly management accounts, annual financial statements, and tax returns.
**Key Duties include**:
- Day to day management of the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bookkeeping and Payroll activities
- Effective implementation of financial controls including daily bank account reconciliations
- Processing month and year end journals and reconciliations
- Lodge quarterly BAS Statements for each entity in the Group
- Assist the Financial Controller in preparing monthly management accounts, monthly board reports, and annual financial statements
- Work closely with the external auditors to help ensure the year end audit of financial statements is effective and efficient
- Assist in managing property purchase and sale transaction settlements
- Provide cover for the Financial Controller when on leave.
**To be successful you will bring**:
- Minimum of 3years' accounting experience, either in an accounting firm, an audit or business services role,
- Preferably, but not essential, CPA/CA qualified (or close to attainment)
- Tertiary degree in Finance/Accounting (or similar)
- Strong commercial/business understanding and knowledge of the Australian Accounting Standards and regulations
- Experience in property development and financial services beneficial.
- Experience in the preparation and completion of accurate financial and management accounts
- Stakeholder management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of the broader team
