Job Description
The Senior Management Accountant is responsible for the following:
* Manage revenue accounting, including review of monthly revenue, journal postings, reconciliations, and oversight of billing and accounts receivable processes.
* Oversee labour costs, employee entitlements, accrued expenses, and doubtful/bad debt provisions, ensuring accurate financial records and reconciliations.
* Manage CAPEX and project accounting, including financial assets, contract variations, and major asset expansions.
* Perform management cost accounting, including cost centre reporting and calculation of management fees.
* Prepare statutory reporting, including Australian Bureau of Statistics returns, and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations.
* Property and lease accounting activities
* Business partner to operations team
* Support finance transformation initiatives, providing expertise in financial processes, project accounting, and revenue automation.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Management Accountant should have:
* Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* CA/CPA qualification
* Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis tools.
* Strong understanding of accounting standards and principles.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem‐solving skills.
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
