We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Officer/Handyman to join our team in Carlton. As a key member of our maintenance unit, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
About the Role:
* Provide general maintenance and building maintenance duties to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for residents
* Develop and implement a preventative, proactive, and reactive maintenance program to minimize downtime and optimize resource allocation
* Deliver exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, contractors, and staff by responding promptly to their needs and concerns
* Maintain shared spaces to the highest standard of presentation, promoting a positive image of our community
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines, creating a secure environment for all
Your Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a maintenance trade role, preferably with trade qualifications or certifications
* Strong knowledge of OHS requirements, with a focus on resident and staff safety
* Previous experience working in a Retirement Community, Aged Care, or hotel environment is highly valued
* Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently, with a strong attention to detail
