04th May, 2026 A communications and technology company delivering solutions for remote and high-reliability environments is looking for an Electronics Technician Level 2 This hands-on role involves supporting service, maintenance, and commissioning of telecommunications and radio systems across site and project environments. You'll work with minimal supervision, play a key role in service restoration and preventative maintenance, and mentor junior technicians while developing into a subject matter expert. This is a full-time role based in Perth, WA/Brisbane, QLD, supporting projects across various locations in Australia, with travel, on-call duties, and site-based work required. Key Responsibilities Perform service, maintenance, and support works across telecommunications systems Carry out fault finding and repairs down to component level Support commissioning of communications systems and infrastructure Complete preventative and corrective maintenance activities Respond to on-call duties and service restoration tasks Prepare quotes for service work and provide technical input when required Escalate complex technical issues to senior technical staff where needed Ensure all tasks are completed safely and in line with HSEQ procedures Provide reports and documentation for completed works Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders Mentor junior technicians and support team development Support a strong safety-first and zero-harm culture Requirements Certificate III in Electronics and Communications (or equivalent) Minimum 5 years' experience maintaining telecommunications equipment Experience with radio systems (TETRA, P25, DMR, analogue) and microwave links Familiarity with IP networking and communications systems Experience with antenna systems and multicoupling systems Strong fault-finding ability to component level Ability to read and interpret complex circuit diagrams Strong problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Current driver's licence and full working rights in Australia Nice to Have Experience in mining, resources, or critical infrastructure environments Exposure to remote site work or field service environments Experience with service restoration and on-call support Strong stakeholder engagement and client-facing experience Previous experience mentoring junior technicians What's in it for you Work on critical communications infrastructure in remote environments Exposure to advanced radio, microwave, and telecommunications systems Be part of large-scale projects across mining and national infrastructure Strong safety culture with structured processes Opportunity to develop into a technical specialist or leadership role Don't miss out, apply now!
