About the role
Immediate start for chefs working either a 4day/3day split or 5day/2day split - 7hrs a day.
This is not just hiring for the Christmas holiday period We want you to join our team as a long term employee.
We are seeking an experienced and talented Chef/Cook to join our vibrant team at Hand of Fatima Cafe in Peregian Beach, QLD. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a unique breakfast/brunch experience on the Sunshine Coast. Our menu changes every season with 6 items on the menu. Please only apply if you are currently living on Sunshine Coast.
What you'll be doing
* Prepare and cook a variety of menu items to our high standards
* Ensure food is presented in an appetising and visually appealing manner
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
* Manage inventory and ordering of supplies for food items
* Collaborate with the team to deliver exceptional customer service
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations
What we're looking for
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef/Cook in a similar breakfast cafe (must be able to poach eggs)
* Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques
* Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Food Safety Supervisor certification or willingness to obtain
* Must have the right to work in Australia
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery preferred or relevant culinary qualifications
* Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays
