Our teams include AWS Professional Services, AWS Training and Certification, AWS Support and Managed Services, and AWS Security Assurance Services, with expertise across AWS Partners, AWS Sovereign Cloud, AWS International Product, and the Generative AI Innovation Center. You'll join a diverse team of technical experts in dozens of countries who help customers achieve more with the AWS cloud.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Solutions Architect, help customers plan their successful cloud journey and solve complex technical challenges to enable focus on business outcomes. Craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures and lead technical solution discussions with customer teams.
Build relationships to understand customers and partners; act as a trusted technical advisor and influence stakeholders from technical teams to executives; ensure short-term technology decisions align with long-term goals; accelerate service adoption.
Act as a thought leader by educating others, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers or blogs, and running workshops.
Shape the direction of our products and services by gathering customer feedback and collaborating with engineering and service teams.

This role is within the Public Sector Solutions Architecture team, working with public sector customers in the Australian Government, National Security and Defence. You will help shape and deliver a strategy to build mind share and broad use of AWS services within critical strategic accounts.

Qualifications
8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
7+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
Ability to lead complex technical projects, potentially coordinating with other teams
Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders
Experience architecting or deploying cloud/virtualization solutions in enterprise customers
Ability to create proofs of concept, demos, and/or scripts from scratch or using reusable components
Experience working with Federal government
Able to present to technical and business audiences (training, workshops, publications)
Hold or be able to attain Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance
