**The Opportunity**
The role of the State Sales & New Business Manager is to transform the growth trajectory of the organisation in their respective States/Territories. This leader will deliver transformational growth with a variety of strategic customers and will need a growth and solutions-focused mindset.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ownership & development of the sales/growth strategy, mapping out aligned future growth vision and intentional path to value
- New business development and key account management
- Negotiations with customers and key stakeholders including negotiating trading terms/tenders/contracts
- Drive profitable customer base growth across key growth segments now and future
- Understand full P&L management and key financial metrics to running a State Sales Business
- Ensure clear routines are in place to manage S&OP process and forecasting accuracy with business stakeholders.
- Drive a strong and engaged culture, leading by example and driving key engagement initiatives
**The Individual**
- A background in a similar role with a demonstrated track record in new business development and key account management
- Experience in Independent Grocery and ideally wholesale.
- A strong motivation to generate new business and a 'hunter mindset'
- Strong negotiation skills including the ability to influence customers and close a deal
- A growth mindset and demonstrate leadership both internally and externally
- Be an exceptional communicator and have highly developed interpersonal skills
