Speech Pathologist – Make a Lasting Impact in Rural Healthcare. Join (Site/Service). As part of a rural multidisciplinary team you will provide clinical work, autonomy and meaningful patient relationships in a setting where your expertise is valued.
What You'll Be Doing
Provide health and development check screening services aligned with the Brighter Beginnings Initiative.
Provide evidence-based speech therapy assessment and therapy to children aged 4 and above on community health waiting lists.
Support and develop paediatric skills for generalist Speech Pathologists in the district.
Selection Criteria
Tertiary degree in speech pathology (or equivalent) with eligibility for practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
Recent, relevant experience in paediatric clinical practice, including assessment and intervention with preschool and school-aged children, group work skills and case management in a community health setting.
Excellent negotiation, decision-making and advocacy skills, including collaborative stakeholder consultation.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, time management and computer literacy, and the ability to analyse, interpret and implement evidence-based practice.
Experience providing clinical supervision to staff and/or students.
Experience designing, delivering and evaluating paediatric education sessions to a variety of groups.
Experience participating in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process and evidence-based practice.
Current unrestricted driver's licence and willingness to drive/travel as required, including long distances and overnight stays.
