We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Forklift Operator to join our Distribution and Manufacturing team at Aldinga.
Working within a busy team, your primary role is to assist the team in the loading of infeed materials for manufacturing workstations, loading and unloading of pods, safe storage of outfeed materials, loading and unloading of trucks, rotating stock and maintaining a clean and efficient yard.
The successful candidate will excel in fast-paced environment and be proactive in keeping schedules and meeting delivery demands.
This is a full-time role across Monday- Friday and available for an immediate start.
Responsibilities include:
* Loading and unloading of bulky orders onto trucks using forklift and manual handing
* Loading and unloading of pods used for transport of manufactured goods
* Following company procedures, processes and safety related requirements in place to reduce safety risks
* Assist with Picking & packing of timber/building supply orders as required
* Maintaining the yard to a high standard
* Stock refill and housekeeping
Required skills and attributes:
* Current forklift license is essential
* Current Driver’s license is essential
* This is a “Hands on” role the applicant must be physically fit to undertake the manual handing tasks
* Experience in manual handling including of large bulky items
* Ability to follow directions
* Ability to follow safe operating procedures
* Reading, writing and ability to understand and process picking slips
* Keen eye for detail
* Good communication skills and ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Honest, reliable, and punctual
* Flexibility and willingness to assist in all areas of the business.
