You will act as a support and subject matter expert for the team of Business Analysts, actively working across T he Essential Eight Maturity Uplift (EEMU) program to implement a number of new critical controls to satisfy the Australian Cyber Security Centre's (ACSC) revised Essential Eight Maturity Model.
We are now seeking 2 x Business Analyst Leads for 12 Month Fixed Term Salaried Contracts to lead requirements gathering, business analysis, procurement activities, and process definition on an enterprise-wide program, also guiding and overseeing Senior Business Analysts. Also support the capability uplift of the IT Business Analysis Services practice by advising on new standards and processes.
Your background
- Experienced in understanding, gathering, and documenting complex requirements for a variety of systems and domains.
- Familiarity with the ACSC Essential Eight maturity model and broader cybersecurity standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Experience in projects involving application control, patch management, privilege management, and system hardening.
- Ability to assess current security postures and identify gaps against Essential Eight controls.
- Experience conducting risk assessments and supporting compliance audits.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, endpoint protection, and enterprise applications.
- Experience working with security tools like Airlock Digital, Microsoft Defender, or vulnerability management platforms.
- Proven track record in delivering security or IT transformation projects in government or regulated industries.
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall delivery frameworks, including identifying functional/non-functional requirements, developing user stories, process flows etc.
- Experience working on large scale procurement activities (RFT, RFP).
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and written skills, especially eliciting and prioritising requirements from stakeholders and clear and concise documentation.
- Work in a team environment especially integrating with cross-functional teams and work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Embrace willingness to adapt and reprioritise in ambiguity environment.
- Strong prior business analysis experience in agile and waterfall methodologies.
- Have experience in building high reliability operating culture and performance.
- Have strong IT business analysis experience, on a variety of IT system implementations.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate, influence and partner effectively with key stakeholders across the Reserve Bank and externally.
- Be an energetic strategic thinker who has considerable attention to detail.
- Have a curious and accountable mindset.
- IIBA Certified - CBAP is preferred.
