We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Mine Engineer – Open Pit to join our high‐performing team.

This position is offered as FIFO from Perth or residential in Kalgoorlie, working an 8/6 roster.

About the Opportunity

As the Senior Mine Engineer, you will lead and mentor the engineering team to deliver high‐quality mine designs, schedules, and operational plans. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring safe, efficient, and cost‐effective open pit production.

Key responsibilities include:

* Managing and guiding the engineering team to develop, maintain, and optimise practical mine designs and schedules.
* Monitoring performance against plan and driving continuous improvement.
* Supporting and developing team capability, creating a strong talent pipeline—including preparing your own successor as you continue to grow.
* Contributing to strategic planning and future project development as our operations expand.

This is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your experience across multiple sites and gain exposure to a wide range of technical and operational challenges.

About You

You will bring a proactive and solutions‐focused approach, along with strong leadership capability and a passion for driving operational excellence. Ideally, you will have:

* A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
* A Western Australian Unrestricted Quarry Manager's Certificate (or the ability to obtain one).
* Proven experience in open pit mining, including leadership experience overseeing mining operations.
* Experience in budgeting, financial planning, and cost management.
* Proficiency with mine planning software, preferably Deswik.
* Experience working within a junior or emerging mining company is advantageous, particularly if you understand the fast‐paced nature and growth opportunities such environments offer.
