About the Role
Electrical Compliance Onsite Pty Ltd (ECO) is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead and coordinate our day‐to‐day operational activities, providing electrical and fire compliance services. You'll be across the detail, working directly with our field personnel and clients to make sure work gets done properly, on time, and to a standard we're proud of.
You'll work closely alongside the Managing Director, Business Manager and Service Coordinator, having real influence over how the business operates.
We want someone who can see where things can be improved, and help build better systems for operations as we continue to grow.
Work Schedule
Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm, no weekends. Based at our Kewdale office.
About the Business
ECO trades as ECO Test and Tag and ECO Thermal Imaging. We're a Perth based electrical compliance company specialising in test and tag, RCD testing, thermal imaging, fire equipment inspections, emergency and exit lighting and general electrical maintenance.
We work with medium to large businesses who rely on us to manage their routine compliance testing and electrical maintenance and repair work.
Having been in business for 10+ years we're now in an exciting growth stage, having expanded by 148% over the past 24 months, with genuine opportunities for professional growth over the long term.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee day‐to‐day operations across technicians and admin
* Manage and lead a team of approximately 10–15 field staff
* Ensure jobs are delivered efficiently, safely, and to a quality high standard
* Manage scheduling, job flow and resource allocation
* Handle complex quotes, site visits, and operational problem solving
* Lead workforce planning, technician utilisation, and future workload forecasting
* Conduct one‐on‐ones, set KPIs, and manage team performance
* Support onboarding, training, and development of technicians
* Maintain and improve systems, processes, and operational efficiency
* Ensure compliance with ISO standards, procedures, and audits
* Maintain strong client relationships and service standards
* Monitor performance, costs, and contribute to improving profitability and scalability
* Identify and implement improvements as the business grows
The ideal candidate will possess the following
* Previous experience in an operations, service, or field based role, ideally within electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection or a related industry
* Demonstrated experience managing staff, including performance, accountability, and team developmentStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and keep operations running smoothly
* A practical mindset with the ability to problem solve and make decisions confidently
* High attention to detail and a commitment to doing things properly
* Excellent communication skills, both with clients and internal team members
* A proactive attitude and willingness to improve systems and processes
