Supportive Therapist Opportunity
We are seeking a Supportive Therapist to join our team. As a Supportive Therapist, you will work closely with residents and staff to develop lifestyle programs that support the needs and goals of individual residents.
You will be responsible for undertaking one-to-one assessments with residents, revisiting their assessments regularly to ensure ongoing relevance, and coordinating volunteers to assist in providing activities. You will also work collaboratively with the Care team, including Nurses and Personal Care staff, to implement creative, person-centred programs that meet the holistic needs of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop lifestyle programs that support the needs and goals of individual residents
* Undertake one-to-one need assessments with residents and continuously revisit their assessments
* Coordinate and guide volunteers how assist in the provision of activities
* Work collaboratively with the Care team to ensure leisure and recreation is incorporated into day-to-day activities of residents
Requirements:
* A minimum Cert IV in Lifestyle and Leisure or a Diploma/Degree in Diversional Therapy, or equivalent
* Experience working within residential aged care
