About the Role
As the Professional Services & Partner Engagement Lead, you will oversee end‐to‐end project and work package delivery, mature our delivery frameworks, and strengthen relationships across the technology ecosystem. You'll work closely with enterprise and government customers, internal delivery teams, and vendor account teams to ensure successful outcomes across private cloud, SDDC, and modernisation initiatives.
This is a strategic, hands‐on leadership role with significant influence over capability development, service offerings, and customer engagement.
What You'll Be Doing Professional Services Leadership
* Lead and grow a VMware‐aligned Professional Services practice.
* Oversee end‐to‐end project and work package delivery, ensuring scope, milestones, and deliverables are met.
* Build and manage a high‐performing team of project managers, architects, and consultants.
* Establish scalable delivery frameworks, governance models, and quality standards.
PMO & Delivery Governance
* Own project governance, reporting, risk management, and financial performance.
* Implement consistent PMO processes, delivery tooling, and project controls.
* Ensure work packages are accurately scoped, costed, scheduled, and delivered.
* Maintain compliance with public sector procurement, security, and assurance requirements.
* Act as the primary interface with key vendor stakeholders.
* Drive joint go‐to‐market motions, co‐delivery models, and pipeline development.
* Represent the organisation in partner forums, roadmap briefings, and enablement programs.
Business Development & Growth
* Identify, shape, and pursue opportunities across enterprise, government, and defence sectors.
* Support bid responses, proposals, and solution design for VMware‐aligned services.
* Develop service offerings, capability statements, and repeatable delivery packages.
* Contribute to revenue forecasting, portfolio planning, and strategic account development.
What You Bring Professional Services & Delivery
* Proven leadership experience in Professional Services, PMO, or consulting practice management.
* Strong background delivering complex infrastructure, cloud, or VMware‐based programs.
* Demonstrated experience in work package delivery (scoping, estimation, execution, acceptance).
* Ability to manage multi‐stream, multi‐stakeholder delivery environments.
Technical & Ecosystem Expertise
* Understanding of VMware products, licensing models, and professional services delivery.
* Experience working with vendor account teams, PSO, or partner ecosystems.
* Familiarity with private cloud architectures and SDDC concepts.
Public & Private Sector Delivery
* Strong understanding of public sector procurement, governance, and security frameworks.
Leadership & Commercial Skills
* Excellent stakeholder management and executive‐level communication.
* Strong commercial acumen across scoping, pricing, forecasting, and portfolio management.
* Ability to build new capability from the ground up and scale a practice sustainably.
