THE POSITION
* Prepare fresh, delicious meals
* Work as part of a small, supportive team, prepare meals in bulk
* The role will have a focus on menu development and cost control responsibilities
* Monitor stock and minimize wastage
* Adhere to hygiene standards and following proper food handling practices
* Deliver healthy choices and guidance to the future generation
* Bulk cooking for boarding and retail sites
THE PERSON
* Minimum Cert. III Commercial Cookery
* Current Working with Children Check (Blue card, Qld), or ability to obtain
* 1-2 years' experience as a chef & experience with cooking in bulk quantities
* Confident working with dietary requirements and allergen management protocols
* Passionate about healthy and nutritious food
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced environment and maintain consistency across multiple meal services
* Flexible roster over 7 days needed
* Good knife skills
