Overview
Our client is a well regarded international industrial manufacturer, recognised for delivering high quality, reliable products to global markets. As the company continues to evolve, they are now seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join their site in Milperra. This is a key leadership role for someone with a strong engineering background, capable of leading teams, managing multiple projects, and driving operational improvements. The ideal candidate will also bring experience in facilities management and a hands-on mindset to support the business at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a maintenance team across both electrical and mechanical functions
* Conduct regular facility and equipment inspections to identify and resolve issues
* Manage repair and maintenance budgets, inventory, and spare parts
* Drive cost control while balancing operational needs
* Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives
* Ensure the implementation and maintenance of reliable equipment and processes
* Collaborate in cross-functional teams to achieve wider business goals
Skills & Experience
* Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
* Minimum 3+ years of hands-on mechanical/electrical experience (manufacturing preferred)
* At least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role
* Strong background in troubleshooting, fault finding, and root cause analysis
* Exposure to facilities management is highly advantageous
* Familiarity with plant maintenance systems (ERP/MRP)
* Solid understanding of QA, EHS standards, GMP, and GDP
