Job Description
We are seeking a full-time permanent Chief Information Technology Officer to maintain, upgrade and manage our software, hardware, and networks.
This role requires strong resourcefulness, problem-solving aptitude, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Main Responsibilities
* Install, configure, and troubleshoot software and hardware systems
* Manage network servers and technology tools, ensuring optimal performance and security
* Set up and manage user accounts and workstations, maintaining data integrity and confidentiality
* Monitor system performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed
* Troubleshoot technical issues and outages, minimizing downtime and impact on business operations
* Develop and implement effective security measures, including access controls, backups, and firewalls
* Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements, recommending improvements and upgrades to management
Requirements
* Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role
* Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management
* Familiarity with system security, including intrusion detection systems, and data backup/recovery procedures
* Ability to write scripts in Python, Perl, or another language, and create automation tools
* Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms, including Windows, Linux, and macOS
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; professional certification is a plus
