Social Work Senior - Child Protection Liaison Officer, Queensland Health
Permanent full time opportunity provide social work clinical consultation and liaison services for child protection matters with Queensland Health staff, Queensland Police Services and Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety.
The role encompasses the provision of specialist social work services that contribute to maintaining the integration of child safety initiatives.

Permanent full time opportunity provide social work clinical consultation and liaison services for child protection matters with Queensland Health staff, Queensland Police Services and Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety.
The role encompasses the provision of specialist social work services that contribute to maintaining the integration of child safety initiatives.
The service functions within an early intervention and prevention framework that seeks to enhance child safety for children and families at risk across the continuum.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Deliver high level evidence based social work clinical services, including counselling and consultancy, in accordance with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Code of Ethics and AASW Professional Practice Standards through assessing clinical risk and the complex psychosocial needs of patients/ families/ carers.
Deliver high level clinical and operational advice and work collaboratively and effectively with other social work practitioners, colleagues, professional and operational supervisors, relevant service managers and other stakeholders to enhance outcomes for at risk and vulnerable children and their carer networks.
Contribute to the strategic direction of child protection at a Metro North and Statewide level through participation in MNHS Child Protection Community of Practice and other forums.
