In this role, you'll:
Manage a team overseeing the day-to-day coordination of restricted access vehicle (RAV) applications and enquiries on the NSW State Road Network. It ensures consistent, high-quality access decisions that maintain network integrity and public safety, and provides leadership that drives accountability, customer service, continuous improvement, and compliance with legislative and policy requirements.
Provide technical and operational leadership to ensure access decisions align with road safety, infrastructure protection, and sustainable freight outcomes. It manages stakeholder relationships to balance industry demand with public safety and efficient road network performance.
Support continuous improvement of access processes and the shift toward automated, data-driven access systems, including the Automated Access Assessment Program (AAAP).

About you
Demonstrated experience in leading the team to deliver accurate and timely decisions while maintaining a safe and respectful working environment.
A strong understanding of freight access management, road network operations, and Heavy Vehicle National Law requirements as they relate to access arrangements.
Ideally come from a project planning and /or project management background where you've been required to manage a wide array of stakeholders in complex design and delivery environments with interaction across a large, complex organisation.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent and relevant professional experience.
