About the Role:
Our team is seeking an experienced Senior Project Officer to support our Government Relations and Advocacy efforts.
Main Responsibilities:
* Providing administrative support including forward planning, tracking, and prioritizing key team tasks.
* Communications and engagement activities such as preparing presentations, briefings for senior executives and government officials, and producing speeches and submissions.
* Workforce capability development through process review, knowledge management, systems, and data.
* Leadership and supervision of junior staff in the team, branch, and broader organization.
* Events coordination and preparation for key stakeholder meetings and events.
About You:
* Relevant experience in administration, regulation, projects, communications, and engagement.
* Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize a demanding workload.
* Ability to engage and work collaboratively with others, influencing and persuading when necessary.
* Strong communication skills to convey complex issues simply and effectively.
* Sound understanding of current issues in Competition and Consumer Law and policy development.
* Experience supervising and supporting junior staff to deliver key objectives.
* Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.
