About the Role:
Tradewind are looking for a passionate and dedicated Junior Maths teacher to join a welcoming Catholic co-educational school in Melbourne's outer eastern suburbs, commencing in Term 3.
This full-time role is ideal for an educator who is enthusiastic about fostering numeracy skills and mathematical thinking in students across Years 7-9, within a supportive and well-resourced learning environment.

Key duties:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive math curriculum that aligns with The Victorian Curriculum
* Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
* Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to effectively convey mathematical concepts and problem-solving strategies.
* Provide timely feedback to students on their performance and progress in math.
* Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of students, including providing additional support or challenges as needed.
* Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in math education, teaching methodologies, and curriculum development.
* Collaborate with other math teachers and school staff to share resources, ideas, and best practices.
Skills & Experience:
* Must hold unrestricted working rights in Australia
* Current VIT registration is essential
* Proven experience teaching secondary Maths in Australia/NZ
* Commitment to supporting the Catholic Ethos of the school
* Ability to provide two education-based references from the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable)
Offering:
* A full-time, ongoing position starting from Term 3 until the end of the year
* Work with students in years 7-9
* Salary aligned with demonstrated expertise, ranging from $78,000 to $116,000
* Be part of a small team including wood technicians in a well resourced space
