Overview
About The Role: If you're someone who enjoys thinking strategically about assets, leading a capable team, and making a real impact on network performance — this could be your next move. We're looking for a Lines Assets Leader to take ownership of how we manage our transmission and distribution line assets across Tasmania — from poles and conductors through to the structures that keep our network running safely and reliably. In this role, you'll be setting the direction and making decisions on how we manage and invest in our line assets — balancing risk, performance and cost to deliver the best outcomes for our customers.
Day to Day
* Lead the development of smart, risk-based asset strategies
* Use data and insight to improve network performance and reliability
* Guide decisions on where and how we invest in our assets
* Make sure compliance and standards are built into everything we do
* Lead and support a team delivering both long-term strategy and day-to-day technical support
* Work closely across the business to keep everything aligned and moving forward
* Identify risks early and help drive practical solutions
About You
You're a strong people leader who understands asset management in a real-world environment (ideally within utilities or infrastructure). You bring a balance of engineering expertise, commercial thinking and people leadership.
What You'll Likely Have
* Solid experience in engineering or asset management
* An engineering qualification (or equivalent experience)
* A track record of using data to drive better asset decisions
* Experience leading teams and working across complex organisations
* A good understanding of transmission and/or distribution line assets (or similar infrastructure)
* Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships
You'll be working on assets that matter — keeping Tasmania's electricity network safe, reliable and ready for the future. It's a great mix of strategy, leadership and technical influence, with real impact across the business.
What's on offer
* Permanent full time opportunity, offering an attractive remuneration and benefits package.
* Flexible work arrangements
* 20 days of annual leave per year + an additional 3 days of leave between Christmas and New Year
* Electricity discount of 16.66% (following probationary period)
* Paid volunteer days
* Free onsite parking
* Onsite gyms and annual health and wellbeing rebate
* Personalised career pathways and professional development opportunities
* All the equipment you\'ll need to be successful in your role
