SERVICE TECHNICIAN (Auto Electrician / Mechanical)
Our client is a global manufacturer of technology products used all over the world, with own sales and service companies directly on location where their customers are based.
A rare opportunity has arisen for a SERVICE TECHNICIAN with either auto electrical or mechanical experience to join the Melbourne based service team.
ROLE SYNOPSIS
The successful technicians primary focus will be to support the service department, installing and servicing interlock devices on private vehicles, commercial trucks, and aviation assets, in an efficient and timely manner.
RELATED EXPERIENCE
* Responsible for inspection, repair, and calibration of return equipment to ensure the equipment is properly maintained and fit for purpose according to its specifications
* Maintain accurate service records to provide traceability of maintenance documentation in accordance with relevant standards and QA requirements
* Supply appropriate reports of work conducted and complete 'CRM Service' to allow job completion
* Promptly assess incoming jobs and provide feedback if there are any delays
* Experience working under pressure and organizing work priorities to meet deadlines
* Ability to read / understand technical service documentation and diagrams
* Must be a capable English communicator to effectively articulate verbal and written company / product information
* Effectively service client's product range
* Ability to comprehend technical problems
* Undertake the maintenance & testing of equipment in line with training and competencies to ensure the equipment is properly maintained and fit for purpose according to its specifications, customer requirements and relevant standards.

* Fostering a culture of safety first, perform all activities with safety as a priority, following OH&S standards and our clients Integrated Management System (IMS).
SPECIAL COMPETENCIES:
* Computer skills – Microsoft Windows applications, CRM software & Outlook (An advantage)
* Ability to handle multi tasks simultaneously
* Analytical & problem-solving skills

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
* Successful completion of high school (Year 10 or equivalent)
* Certificate: Electrical Technician, Grade A Electrician, Auto Electrician or Mechanic
