Build your own Employment & Workplace Law practice.

Liquid HR is launching Liquid HR Legal – Employment & Workplace Lawyers, and we are seeking an entrepreneurial senior employment lawyer to lead and grow the practice as Head of Employment & Workplace Law.

This role is ideal for a senior employment lawyer who:

* wants to build and lead their own practice
* is interested in vested equity ownership
* enjoys working closely with businesses and HR leaders
* wants to move beyond the traditional law firm model.

You will work alongside an established HR consultancy and help create a modern workplace advisory practice combining HR and legal expertise.

About the Role

The Head of Employment & Workplace Law will establish and lead Liquid HR Legal as an employer-focused legal practice.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

* providing strategic employment and workplace law advice to employer clients
* advising organisations on workplace risk, complex employee relations matters and employment disputes
* representing and supporting clients in employment-related proceedings and dispute resolution processes
* guiding businesses on workplace compliance, governance and best-practice people management
* developing and growing the Liquid HR Legal practice, including contributing to service development and market positioning
* building and managing strong client relationships while supporting business development and referral opportunities.

You will work closely with Liquid HR's consulting team to support businesses across the full lifecycle of workplace issues.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a senior employment lawyer with:

* 7–10 years post-admission experience (PAE)
* strong experience in employment and workplace relations law
* experience advising employer clients
* experience managing employment disputes and tribunal matters
* interest in building and leading a legal practice.

Experience appearing before the Fair Work Commission will be highly regarded.

Qualifications

* admitted to practise law in Australia
* eligibility to hold or obtain a Principal Practising Certificate

Compensation & Equity

Liquid HR Legal offers a competitive package designed for senior lawyers seeking leadership opportunities.

Package includes:

* Performance bonus based on revenue and practice growth.
* Equity participation - approximately 20% ownership in Liquid HR Legal, subject to vesting arrangements.

This role can be based anywhere in Australia and may require occasional travel. Both full-time and part-time arrangements will be considered.
