Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering evidence-based assessment, intervention, and support to children with disabilities and their families. Key responsibilities include:
* Providing high-quality, individualized services to clients in their natural settings or at our clinic
* Setting specific, functional, and measurable goals for each client, and evaluating progress against these goals
* Monitoring interventions and adjusting programs as needed
* Providing high-quality information and training for families and other professionals to assist others working with the child to implement strategies to support the child to achieve their goals
* Creating a welcoming environment for families and providing service utilization involving collaboration, reflective practice, and strategies designed to empower clients and their families
* Working collaboratively as a member of our multi-faceted, multi-disciplinary team to maintain and continuously improve the standard of our service
* Undertaking professional development related to work, which may include on-the-job and off-site support, continuing professional development, readings, and evidence-based practice
* Observing, recording, and assessing children's progress, and providing written and verbal reports to parents and other professionals within nominated timelines, while maintaining confidentiality and privacy of information relating to the client and their family
* In partnership with families and other professional staff undertaking 12-monthly reviews of the Family Service and Support Plan (FSSP) and end-of-NDIS plan documentation as required
* Completing documentation regarding client contact and other relevant information within the required timelines using our Client Record System (CRS)
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A recognized Bachelor degree or higher in Psychology
* Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* A current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
* NDIS workers screening check
* Level 2 First Aid qualification, including anaphylaxis, asthma, and CPR
* A Victorian Driver's Licence
