About the role

The City of Sydney is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our high-performing Financial Planning and Reporting team. If you're a strategic thinker with a passion for financial excellence and stakeholder collaboration, this is your opportunity to shape the future of Sydney.

As a Finance Business Partner, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering insightful financial analysis, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving performance across Council divisions. You’ll be a trusted advisor to senior leaders, helping to shape budgets, forecasts, and business cases that align with our vision for a sustainable Sydney.

You’ll collaborate with senior leaders to enhance financial performance through insightful reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. In addition you’ll also provide analytical support for strategic initiatives, including the City's cost-of-service program, helping to drive informed decision-making and improve operational efficiency.

We’re looking for someone with:

* CPA/CA qualified (or equivalent tertiary qualifications)
* extensive experience in management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
* proven success in business partnering and stakeholder engagement
* strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into clear insights.

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
