Job Summary
This role is responsible for preparing financial and management accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and assisting with budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, and ad hoc reporting for designated Hospitals and/or Services.
The Role
* Process monthly transactional accounting within agreed timelines and liaise with Finance Managers during month-end close.
* Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, and follow up on outstanding actions with Finance Directors/Managers.
* Prepare management reports, conduct variance analysis, and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
* Assist with audits and implement process improvements.
* Mentor Graduate Accountants and participate in project work as required.
A successful candidate will have hands-on experience with month-end processes, strong accounting knowledge, and excellent stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Primary duties include:
* Preparing financial statements and managing cash flows.
* Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
* Liaising with stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies or concerns.
* Providing financial guidance and support to teams.
* Identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
This position requires a high level of organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Degree in Accounting or a related field.
* CA/CPA qualification.
* Strong accounting knowledge and experience with month-end processes.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
