We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as a 9-day fortnight.Key responsibilitiesSupport Ship/Area/Installation Managers in delivering projects and area outputs within a manufacturing environment, in accordance with the developed planOrganise activities and tasks for specific projects, ensuring production activities are executed safely and efficientlyEnsure all activities associated with the manufacture, production and assembly and installation of components are completed in accordance with safety, design, quality and customer requirementsCoordinate production activities in accordance with the Ship Plan of Day (SPOD) and de-conflict activitiesFacilitate production issue resolution to minimise hold-ups to scheduleSupport Ship, Area and Installation Managers with Control Account and Contract Master Schedule reporting obligations, including monitoring progress and maintaining the scheduleThe Area Coordinator will primarily support the Area Manager and safely coordinate and deliver a key phase of work during the Shipbuilding lifecycleShipbuilding scope of this role includes: production pilots, ship docking and undocking activities, implementation of upgrades and engineering changes, maintenance activitiesEstablish strong relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure best for program outcomesAbout YOUBachelor's degree in Engineering or proven equivalent trade discipline or relevant experienceDemonstrated experience in a heavy engineering or defence environmentAbility to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer and business requirementsExperience with stakeholder managementAbility to adapt written and verbal communication skills to suit a variety of audiencesDefence security clearance or eligibility to obtainEligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulationsWe believe in hiring for potential; if you don\'t meet all the criteria, we still encourage you to applyAbout USYou will be joining a workplace that truly cares about your wellbeing.
