About the role
We are offering a permanent role of Child and Family Practitioner in the 4Families team at our Mandurah – Davey Street office. In this role, you'll work alongside children and young people and their families to provide compassionate strengths-based support. The position focuses on promoting well-being and offering early assistance to those who may be experiencing, or at risk of mental health challenges. This may be in a case management role, individual support to the parent(s) or counselling of the child.
The current vacancy is 3 days per week on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Skills, experience, and qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences and/or Counselling
* Significant practical experience in working with children and families
* Demonstrated case management and care coordination experience
* Knowledge and skills in working with people in crisis and in managing people with challenging behaviours.
* Knowledge and understanding of prevention and mental health issues
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of domestic violence and/or child maltreatment and protection issues
