Why Join Thrive?

At Thrive Canberra Home Physio, we deliver high-quality, compassionate allied health care to older adults who want to remain independent, active, and kicking their goals at home, as well as people living with disability, across Canberra.

We're a small, purpose-driven team built on trust, flexibility, and clinical integrity. We believe great care happens when clinicians are supported, given time with their clients, and trusted to do their work well — without rushed clinic sessions or micromanagement.

We're currently growing our team and seeking experienced clinicians for the following roles:

* Part-time Community Physiotherapist (hours negotiable)
* Part-time Community Occupational Therapist (hours negotiable)

Both roles offer genuine flexibility, autonomy, and strong professional support within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

-----------------------------------

Role 1: Community Physiotherapist

If you care about doing physiotherapy properly; with time, trust, and meaningful outcomes, this role was built for you.

The Role

You'll deliver evidence-based physiotherapy to adults in their homes and community settings across Canberra. You'll work with clients funded through Support at Home, NDIS, and private referrals, supporting mobility, function, falls prevention, and just helping your client kick goals

There is also the opportunity to be involved in hydrotherapy (individual and group programs) for clinicians with an interest in aquatic therapy.

Key Responsibilities

* Assess, plan, and deliver goal-oriented, outcome-driven physiotherapy
* Deliver interventions through 1:1 sessions and group programs (including hydrotherapy)
* Support clients to improve strength, balance, mobility, and independence
* Provide cardiorespiratory care where clinically indicated
* Build strong therapeutic relationships with clients, families, and carers
* Collaborate with support coordinators, case managers, and referrers
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Maintain clear, accurate, and timely clinical documentation

About You

* AHPRA-registered Physiotherapist
* Minimum 2 year experience in community, aged care, disability, or similar
* Experience with Support at Home and/or NDIS preferred
* Hydrotherapy experience desirable but not essential
* Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and time management skills
* Confident working independently with team support
* Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
* Current Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain)
* Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance
-----------------------------------

Role 2: Community Occupational Therapist

This isn't just an OT role, it's a chance to shape how community OT is delivered from the ground up.

The Role

This is a foundational OT role within Thrive. Alongside your clinical caseload, you'll have allocated time and genuine input into developing our OT systems, workflows, and service pathways.

You'll support adults to live safely and independently in their homes and local communities, working with clients funded through Support at Home, NDIS, and private services. You'll also help shape how OT is delivered at Thrive, contributing to documentation templates, assessment pathways, and best-practice processes.

This role suits an OT who enjoys both clinical work and helping build something meaningful.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver community-based occupational therapy services
* Conduct functional, home safety, and environmental assessments
* Prescribe Assistive Technology (AT) and recommend home modifications
* Support clients to achieve functional goals and maintain independence
* Contribute to the development of OT systems, templates, and workflows
* Provide clinical input into service design and continuous improvement
* Collaborate with clients, families, carers, and NDIS & Home Care support coordinators
* Maintain high-quality documentation aligned with Support at Home and NDIS standards
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

About You

* Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration
* Minimum 3 years experience in community, aged care, disability, or similar
* Experience with Support at Home and/or NDIS essential
* Experience with Assistive Technology and/or home modifications desirable
* Enjoys contributing ideas and shaping clinical systems
* Strong written, organisational, and communication skills
* Confident working independently with leadership support
* Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
* Current Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain)
-----------------------------------

What We Offer (Both Roles)

* Attractive salary: $90k–$125k pro rata (depending on experience), + super + travel + PD allowance
* Travel reimbursement: 99c per km
* Choose your own hours: school hours, short days, or longer blocks
* Annual professional development allowance
* Regular team lunches to check in, collaborate on cases, and share ideas
* Close multidisciplinary collaboration without hierarchy
* Hydrotherapy opportunities for clinicians interested in aquatic therapy
* Laptop, uniform, and equipment provided
* A meaningful caseload of older adults and people living with disability
* A workplace culture built on trust, flexibility, integrity, and genuinely enjoying the work we do
-----------------------------------
