About the Role
Operating within
Safety & Wellbeing
, the Staff Safety & Wellbeing Consultant will build a psychologically safe, inclusive and respectful workplace at ACU. The role reports to the National Manager, Safety and Wellbeing, and focuses on implementing and monitoring frameworks, policies and initiatives that prevent and respond to workplace gender-based violence, psychosocial hazards and psychological injury.
Responsibilities
Implement and monitor frameworks, policies and initiatives that prevent and respond to workplace gender-based violence, psychosocial hazards and psychological injury.
Ensure compliance with the Work Health and Safety Acts, OHS Act **** (Vic), the Fair Work Act **** ( reforms) and the National Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-Based Violence in Higher Education.
Provide strong counselling and case-management support for staff disclosures of gender-based violence (sexual harm), harassment, bullying or other forms of psychological harm.
Lead prevention and early-intervention initiatives, support cultural change programmes, and give expert guidance to People and Capability partners and leaders to manage psychosocial risk and promote wellbeing.
What We Offer
Total remuneration valued to $138,111–$154,409 total rem (pro-rata) pa, including salary component $116,706–$130,478 (pro-rata) pa (HEW 8) with employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
Annual leave loading equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro-rata, payable dependent on commencement date.
