Remuneration
Base salary ranges from $90,177.00 to $137,861.00 plus leave loading and employer's superannuation contribution. Total remuneration package valued up to $156,253.00.
Recruitment Bonus: up to $20,000 (pro rata for part-time).
Relocation Support Payment: $5,000–$8,000.
Position Information
Oxley High School, with an enrolment of more than 1000 (25% Aboriginal) students, is a large co-educational, comprehensive high school established in 1968. The school caters for students from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences and there is a high expectation of every student and all staff members. The school is closely involved in developing teaching practice, which includes professional links and supports for nearby schools. There is a focus on student and staff leadership and a tradition of academic, sporting and cultural excellence with all students encouraged to achieve to their potential. A strong and positive partnership between the school and the Parents and Citizens Association supports strong and long-term relationships with the whole school community. A clear and determined focus on respect, tolerance, personal best and commitment to community.
All students are encouraged to take every opportunity offered by the school, which has a long-standing tradition of offering a broad range of extracurricular activities. Diverse opportunities for student leadership are offered in the Student Representative Council, the Creative and Performing Arts Council, the Sports Council and the Junior Aboriginal Education Consultative Group. Oxley offers a broad curriculum to cater to all students interests and abilities, and a range of learning support programs. The breadth of the curriculum is further enhanced by close professional links with the adjacent New England TAFE. Students can complete VET qualifications in Metals and Engineering, Construction and Hospitality in industry standard learning spaces. The school actively assists students to gain traineeships and apprenticeships.

Specific Selection Criteria
* Approval to teach Technology Mandatory and Food Technology.
* Demonstrated ability to influence students through evidence-based teaching practices and explicit teaching methods.
* Capacity to work collaboratively within the TAS faculty to develop quality, differentiated teaching and learning programs for a range of student abilities.
* Demonstrated ability to implement effective classroom management strategies and plan the delivery of engaging lessons.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is required. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
