Employment Type: Permanent Part Time Position Classification: Enrolled Nurse Remuneration: $32.79 - $35.63 per hour Hours Per Week: 30 Requisition ID: REQ596160 Applications Close: 22 September 2025 Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa). The Enrolled Nurse (EN) provides nursing care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse that reflects current standards of nursing practices and current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures. Role As an Enrolled Nurse working within an Acute Geriatric Evaluation and Management (AGEM) unit, you will be part of a dynamic healthcare team that focuses on providing specialised care to elderly patients with complex health needs. While ENs are typically not involved in making clinical decisions, their role is crucial in supporting nursing staff and ensuring high-quality patient care. There are various opportunities for ENs to contribute effectively in an AGEM unit: Supporting Patient Care and MonitoringSupport with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's)Assisting with Cognitive and Behavioural MonitoringAssisting in Clinical Procedures and Patient CareCoordination and CommunicationProviding Education and Health PromotionTraining and Development in Specialised AreasWorking in a Team-Orientated EnvironmentOpportunities for Career Advancement As an EN in an Acute Geriatric Evaluation and Management (AGEM) unit, you have an important role in delivering compassionate and effective care to elderly patients with complex needs. Opportunities for ENs range from supporting day-to-day clinical tasks and patient monitoring to contributing to the education of patients and families. Additionally, there are excellent opportunities for growth and specialisation in geriatric and palliative care, which can lead to more advanced roles in the healthcare system.
