About The Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance – Retail, the Finance Business Partner – Retail plays a pivotal role in supporting the strategic and financial success of the Retail Product business and Retail Transformation program. The role delivers high‑quality financial advice, reporting, forecasting, and insights to enable faster, more informed decision‑making. With a focus on both market performance and internal operational outcomes, this position requires strong financial and commercial acumen along with the ability to influence and guide senior stakeholders.
A key responsibility of the role is to provide effective financial business partnering to the Product and Transformation leadership teams. You will be accountable for delivering accurate, timely management reporting, annual budgets, forecasts, and financial profiles for business cases, including the ongoing review of benefit realisation. The role also involves preparing or overseeing ad‑hoc analysis and management presentations that support strategic planning and performance improvement. In addition, you will support Retail's internal and external reporting requirements.
The position includes managing and mentoring a direct report while working collaboratively across Product, Distribution, and Transformation functions to build strong, trusted relationships. As a core member of the Retail Finance team, you will contribute meaningful financial expertise to business decision‑making and play an active role in shaping the future of Retail performance and transformation initiatives.
About You
You will bring a solid foundation of technical expertise, supported by a relevant degree or master's qualification and professional accounting accreditation such as CA or CPA. Your experience spans monthly reporting, analysis, planning, forecasting and expense management, paired with strong financial modelling capabilities. You understand how to integrate and consolidate business activities and can confidently build robust business cases that guide strategic direction. Your commercial mindset enables you to translate data into meaningful insights that influence decisions and support the success of both product and transformation initiatives.
Alongside your technical strengths, you are an effective communicator with the interpersonal skills needed to build strong stakeholder relationships across diverse teams. You have demonstrated capability in managing people and projects, bringing a collaborative and solutions‑focused approach to your work. Your ability to lead, influence, and partner with senior stakeholders makes you a trusted advisor, and you thrive in environments where you can contribute to strategic discussions while providing clear, well‑reasoned financial guidance.
