This permanent, part‑time position (21 hours per fortnight, 0.3 EFT) is for a Consultant Psychiatrist in the Travancore Mental Health community team. The role is internally designated as “Consultant Psychiatrist – Travancore MH Team.” Responsibilities
Provide direct clinical care to consumers with complex mental health problems, conducting assessments and interventions. Ensure clinical governance for the multidisciplinary team. Provide training and supervision to junior medical staff from RANZCP and/or RACP programs. Participate in clinical quality improvement activities. Achievements You Will Take Home

Registration as a medical practitioner and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (or equivalent qualification). Extensive experience working in mental health and sound knowledge of relevant legislation. Excellent clinical skills and a commitment to professional development. Desirable
Postgraduate training in child and adolescent psychiatry. Accreditation as an RANZCP Supervisor. Interest in teaching and research, with publications in refereed mental health journals. About The Department
RCH Mental Health is a Level 5 tertiary infant, child, and family area service comprising both hospital‑based and community‑based teams. The Travancore team is led in partnership with a Team Coordinator, who manages operations while the Consultant Psychiatrist drives clinical quality. The department is expanding under the Royal Commission’s recommendations to better serve families. What We Offer
