Job Description:
The Operations Manager will play a crucial role in supporting our senior management. We need someone who can lead and develop a high performing team, actively drive business development, take ownership of operations – oversee scheduling, reporting and project management. Identify opportunities for growth – optimise processes and implement strategies that will elevate the company. Ensure quality and compliance – enforce safety standards and uphold our reputation for excellence. Be a proactive problem solver in a fast-paced role that requires quick thinking, initiative and strong leadership.

Key selection criteria:
* Relevant Experience: A qualified plumber or someone with experience in a similar role and/or strong construction experience and business acumen.
* Organisational Skills: You'll need to be detail-oriented, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines. Demonstrate strong initiative and have a positive attitude.
* Problem Solver: You'll be able to think on your feet and use initiative to tackle challenges head-on. You'll have a proven ability to analyse situations, identify opportunities and develop effective strategies.
* Strong Communication & Tech Skills: You'll be coordinating staff and speaking with current (and potential) clients daily, so excellent communication — both verbal and written — is essential. You'll need to write clearly and accurately (no grammar or spelling errors) and have proven experience with computer administration using Microsoft Office programs and JMS.
* Team building and development: Experience in fostering a positive and collaborative team environment where you motivate, guide and inspire teams to achieve goals. Proven ability to address and resolve conflicts constructively.
* Commitment to Excellence: You take pride in your work and always go the extra mile to ensure the job is done right.
* Inventory & Stock Control Experience: A solid understanding of stock control, material ordering, and managing inventory is essential to keeping operations running smoothly. Experience in managing budgets and allocating resources effectively.
* Tickets: It is compulsory you hold a current valid driver's license and construction induction card. It is advantageous if you have a truck license and/or operator experience.
