Job Description
Research Fellow Position Summary:
Conduct cutting-edge research to explore next-generation composite geotechnical engineering support elements.
As a Research Fellow, you will collaborate with industry partners to develop innovative solutions and advance your expertise in geotechnical engineering. Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Developing a cohesive research profile under the guidance of a mentor or supervisor;
* Conducting comprehensive literature reviews, executing systematic experimental studies, performing data analysis, and preparing detailed reports;
* Compiling progress reports, participating in industry meetings pertinent to the research project, and effectively communicating and disseminating research outcomes;
* Establishing and building collaborative research partnerships with various partners.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* An Honours degree or higher qualification in textile engineering or manufacturing, or geotechnical / mining / civil engineering with manufacturing experiences, or equivalent tertiary qualifications;
* Relevant experience in advanced composite manufacturing, pultrusion, braidtrusion, vacuum infusion, injection moulding, multifunctional composites, compression moulding, extruder designing, polymer resin infusion, and other composite manufacturing expertise;
* Excellent communication skills and an ability to engage effectively with key internal and external stakeholders.
