**Your new role**
The Development Manager (Estate Procurement and Delivery) is a role that is in filling an internal senior promotion and will specialise in the overall co-ordination and delivery of major works packages (Civil & Landscaping) of a 30-year master-planned community. This role will have a high amount of contract administration and be situated in a multidisciplinary team. Reporting to the Operations and Development director, this role will manage a wide variety of appointed contractors, superintendents and consultants. Intrinsic day-to-day responsibilities will include;
Design, Procurement & Delivery - Civil & Landscape Works for the master-planned project
- Project Manage landscape and civil projects (Client Side)
- The ability to oversee all aspects of development including identifying risks, opportunities for improvements through innovation, revenue, time and cost to extract maximum value.
- Manage stakeholder engagement aspects related to design development and delivery of Estate Works and related infrastructure in conjunction with other relevant team members.
- Plan, organise, and supervise the development and preparation of construction plans, specifications, estimates, and other contract documents in conjunction with external consultants.
- Manage the procurement processes and contract administration for works delivery and oversee the construction, quality control and handover of completed projects.
- Assist in the preparation of cash flow forecasts for budget lines connected with this position and subsequent monitoring/reporting of cash flow actuals against the forecasts.
- Establish and manage budgets and cash flows accurately, including report on adequacy budget allowances
- Work with multiple educational institutions on bespoke research projects relating to development
- Take lead role for the EHS compliance, including reviewing and updating management plans and reporting to the Operations Director.
- Ensure management of all works connected with this position in accordance with Project EH&S and quality processes
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Proven exposure within property, projects and master-planned communities
- High level of aptitude within contract administration
- Tertiary qualifications in property, construction or related industries
- Ability to manage a diverse range of stakeholders, the superintendent and the consultants
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to manage and delegate tasks where needed
- Be an outcome focused individual who values trust and respect
