About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Cook to join our kitchen team. The successful applicant will assist with daily food preparation, cooking, and plating while maintaining consistency, hygiene, and quality across all menu items.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook a range of dishes including curries, kebabs, grilled items, and continental meals.
* Check ingredients and supplies to ensure quality and freshness.
* Operate and monitor kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and stoves safely.
* Portion, plate, and garnish meals attractively before service.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and workplace hygiene.
* Prepare dishes for special dietary needs when required.
* Assist with stock rotation, menu planning, and estimating food requirements.
* Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow.
* Provide guidance and support to junior kitchen staff when needed.
Skills and Experience:
* Certificate IV in Kitchen Management, Cookery or equivalent qualification.
* Minimum 1 years of experience in a commercial kitchen.
* Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and within a team.

Pay: $77,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
