About the team

Colin Biggers & Paisley has more than a century of property industry experience, giving us a unique understanding and knowledge that sets us apart from our competitors.

Our experience is in residential, industrial, rural, commercial and government projects, across all property asset classes, including retirement, aged care, agriculture, residential mixed use, hotels, office leasing portfolios, shopping centres and infrastructure.

Our clients include property developers, substantial property portfolio owners, government authorities and significant overseas corporate and government investors in the Australian real estate market as well as individuals acquiring homes and investment properties.

About the role

We are searching for a Senior Project Conveyancing Paralegal to join the highly regarded property and development team in Melbourne to manage and coordinate various land and built form projects and run all stream project conveyancing in relation to those project using our digital contract exchange and reporting platforms. The role includes:

* File management of conveyancing matters including sale and purchase files
* Preparing contracts
* Drafting correspondence
* Communicating with clients to receive instructions and to provide advice
* Assisting with lodging documents on‐line and coordinating settlements
* Liaising with clients, real estate agents, lenders and other stakeholders
* Researching details about the properties and developments being purchased or sold
* Conducting on‐line searches and enquires
* Following up with banks, financial institutions and all stakeholders on all conveyancing matters
* Diary management and end of month billingSubdivision and development matters

About you

* 4 to 5 years' experience as a property conveyancing paralegal
* Excellent client service
* Strong knowledge of PEXA, SPEAR and Duties on Line
* Knowledge of PlanIT would be beneficial but not essential
* High attention to detail and an eye for detail
* Relevant qualifications (highly desirable but not essential)
* Exceptional communication skills, including interpersonal and written skills
* Strong research and problem solving skills
* Ability to work under pressure, respond promptly and effectively to clients
* Excellent time management skills
* Knowledge and experience of Microsoft products, including Excel
* Knowledge of iManage or similar document management system
