Sustainability Assurance Experts play a pivotal role in providing independent assurance services. They assess sustainability reporting accuracy, compliance, and controls to build trust with clients.
Responsibilities
* External auditing of climate and sustainability information to ensure compliance with regulations.
* Analyzing complex business issues and developing effective strategies for resolution.
* Maintaining integrity and ethical behavior while building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
* Fostering collaboration and driving innovation within teams.
* Leading junior auditors and providing coaching and mentoring support.
Requirements
* Audit Expertise: 2-4 years of experience in external audit in Sustainability, with expertise in assurance over greenhouse gas emissions, and completion of a recognised CA qualification.
* Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sustainability information, identify risks, and apply professional judgment to audit processes.
* Teamwork and Development: Experience in supervising the delivery of engagements, including setting project plans and delivering projects on time and budget.
* Communication Skills: Ability to prepare clear and concise audit findings, and communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
* Industry Awareness and Regulatory Understanding: Foundational knowledge of auditing standards, sustainability reporting frameworks, and regulatory requirements, with a commitment to ongoing learning.
