About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead and support the engineering and sales team in a project-driven environment. You'll drive efficiencies, implement improved processes, and support the rollout of a new ERP system, while maximizing the use of CAD/CAM tools for sheet metal production.
This role is hands-on and will suit a motivated leader with a strong engineering background who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and management to the sales and engineering team
* Drive a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement
* Support sales opportunities with technical input, quoting, and process assessment
* Lead engineering projects of high value and complexity
* Develop improved processes and support ERP system implementation
* Maximize use of CAD tools with CAM integration for sheet metal projects
* Create documentation and drawings for shop floor production
* Enter and maintain BOMs and new items in ERP system
* Provide drawing and engineering support to production and sales teams
* Liaise across Sales, Engineering, and Production to ensure data is captured
* Undertake engineering changes and communicate updates clearly to stakeholders
About You
* Proven leadership and team management skills
* Background in manufacturing, sheet metal, or related engineering discipline
* Hands-on experience with CAD design, drafting, and modelling
* Familiarity with ERP systems and BOM management
* Strong project management and problem-solving ability
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across teams
