Overview
KBR, Inc. is hiring for a Fire Protection O&M Technician in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia. This is a contingent position based upon contract award, located at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. The position is expected to be onsite 100%.

What Youll Do
* Install, repair, and inspect smoke and fire suppression systems.
* Inspect, test and repair fire alarm wiring, fire alarm panels and peripheral equipment.
* Identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
* Inspect, repair or replace smoke/heat detectors and sprinkler heads.
* Repair and test wet/dry systems; test fire alarm system devices using appropriate diagnostic programs and test equipment.
* Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
* Read, interpret, and apply system design plans and building construction drawings and documents.
* Perform true test smoke detector sensitivity procedure.
* Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is required.
* Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
* Must be a US or Australian citizen
* Minimum five years of experience working with fire protection equipment and systems
* Must possess NICET II or NICET III
* Must possess and maintain qualifications in accordance with US DoD UFC, or Australian equivalent acceptable to the USG
Desired Qualifications
* BA/BS from an accredited institution
* Ability to obtain a TS/SCI w/Poly or Australian PV clearance
