We are recruiting a Carpenter to join the team within our Site Services department at Leonora Operations on a permanent basis.
The Role
Reporting to the Site Services Supervisor, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of all Genesis assets, including camp accommodation, whilst ensuring adherence to statutory requirements, and promoting environmental sustainability
This opportunity is offered on a balanced 8 days on / 6 days off roster.
This role may be Fly-in Fly-out from Perth, Drive-in Drive-out from Kalgoorlie or residential in Leonora.
The opportunity
Construct, install, and repair wooden structures, fixtures, and equipment for mining operations, domestic houses, and camp facilities.
Inspect facilities and equipment for signs of damage, deterioration, or wear and tear, and take corrective action to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Perform routine inspection and maintenance and repairs on buildings, infrastructure, and equipment.
Assist with renovations, expansions, and construction projects.
Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently according to procedures and safety guidelines.
Identify repair needs and perform maintenance tasks to ensure structural integrity and safety compliance.
Repair and replace damaged or worn-out wooden components using appropriate tools and techniques.
Construct new wooden structures for mining operations or camp accommodation requirements.

We would love to hear from you if you have:
Proven experience as a carpenter and handyman, preferably in an industrial or mining setting
Knowledge and understanding of building and construction industry.
Proficiency in the use of power tools and equipment
Proficiency in carpentry techniques and construction methods, including framing, finishing, and cabinetry.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Driver's License (C Class, Manual Car), minimum
